TCL Smart Air Conditioners come with built-in IoT capabilities, allowing you to control temperature, modes, and timers directly from your smartphone. To unlock these features, you need to pair your AC with the TCL Home App.
Follow this simple step-by-step guide to get connected.
Prerequisites #
- A functioning WiFi connection (2.4GHz network is required; 5GHz networks are often not supported by smart appliances).
- Your WiFi password.
- The TCL Home app installed on your phone (Available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store).
Step-by-Step Connection Guide #
Step 1: Prepare the App #
- Open the TCL Home app.
- Create an account or log in.
- Tap the “+” (Add Device) button on the home screen.
- Select “Air Conditioner” from the list of devices.
Step 2: Reset the AC WiFi Module (Important!) #
You must put the AC into “Pairing Mode” for the app to find it.
- Turn on your TCL AC using the remote.
- Point the remote at the AC and press the “DISPLAY” (or sometimes “ECO”) button 6 times quickly within 8 seconds.
- The AC will beep twice, and the display on the indoor unit will show “CF”. This stands for “Configuration.”
Step 3: Connect #
- Return to the app and confirm that the AC is showing “CF”.
- The app will ask for your WiFi details. Select your 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password.
- Tap “Next”. The app will now attempt to connect to the AC. This may take up to 60 seconds.
- Once connected, you can rename your device (e.g., “Bedroom AC”) and start controlling it!
