Why is 40 inch harder to find?

Most brands jump straight from 32 inch to 43 inch. TV panels are cut from large sheets of glass, and sizes such as 32, 43, 50, 55 and 65 inch cut with the least waste, so fewer factories produce 40 inch panels. That is why you will see fewer models here and why prices sit in a narrow band.

TCL, EcoStar, Dawlance, Haier, Hisense, Sony and Skyworth all make a 40 inch model, so there is still a sensible choice across budgets.

Full HD or 4K at 40 inch?

Full HD is the right resolution at 40 inch, and it is what most sets at this size use. From a typical 5 to 6 foot viewing distance you would need to sit unusually close to notice the extra detail of 4K, so it is not worth paying more for.

The upgrade you can actually see is colour. A QLED panel, such as EcoStar’s CX-40Q874 or TCL’s 40S51K, gives brighter and richer colour in a daylit room, and at 40 inch it costs little or nothing extra.

Should you buy a 40 inch or a 43 inch TV?

For most people the answer is 43 inch. The two sizes cost about the same, but a 43 inch has around 15% more screen area, far more models to choose from and the option of 4K, which starts to make sense at that size.

Choose the 40 inch when your space genuinely cannot take a 43. A 40 inch TV is about 35 inches wide and a 43 inch about 37.5 inches, so measure your wall or TV unit before you decide. You can compare the 43 inch LED TV range here.

How big is a 40 inch TV?

Screen width × height 34.9 × 19.6 in 2.9 × 1.6 ft, screen only
Weight without stand 5 to 7 kg usual range; exact weight on each product page
Wall bracket (VESA) 200 × 200 mm usual size; check the product page
Best seating distance 5 ft for 4K 8 ft for HD and Full HD

A 40 inch screen is about 35 inches wide, so it fits a 3 foot (36 inch) TV unit where a 43 inch, at about 37.5 inches, would overhang slightly. What must sit on the unit is the stand, not the screen, so check the stand width on the product page if space is tight.

TV size calculator

Check that 40 inch suits your room: enter your seating distance and the width of your wall or TV trolley.

Enter how far you sit from the TV. The calculator suggests the screen size that fills your view comfortably, shows how big that screen really is, and checks it fits your wall or trolley.

At 5 ft, a 4K picture looks its best on a screen of about 40 inch, so 40 inch is the closest size. If you mostly watch cable or HD channels, about 32 inch looks sharper from there.

Sizes are for a 16:9 screen measured across the diagonal. Width and height are the screen only: the frame adds about an inch, and a stand’s feet can sit wider or narrower than the screen, so check the product page before buying a trolley. The guide uses the viewing distance at which a picture looks sharp and fills your view without moving your head.

40 inch LED FAQs

Prices

What is the 40 inch LED price in Pakistan?

40 inch LED prices in Pakistan start from Rs. 56,500 for the cheapest standard LED model and go up to Rs. 76,500 for the top full HD model, across 19 models from 7 brands, updated daily in October 2026. Half of all 40 inch models cost between Rs. 64,950 and Rs. 74,000, which covers most Full HD smart TVs at this size.

Choosing a TV

Why is a 40 inch LED TV hard to find in Pakistan?

Most brands skip 40 inch and go straight from 32 to 43, because 40 inch panels are made in smaller numbers. TCL, EcoStar, Dawlance, Haier, Hisense, Sony and Skyworth still offer this size.

Is 4K worth it on a 40 inch TV?

Not really. From a normal viewing distance Full HD looks just as sharp at 40 inch. If you want a visible upgrade, choose a QLED panel for brighter colour instead.

Should I buy a 40 inch or a 43 inch TV?

Buy the 43 inch if it fits. It costs about the same, gives about 15% more screen and has far more models to choose from. Buy the 40 inch only if your wall or TV unit cannot take the extra 2.5 inches of width.

Which brand is best for a 40 inch LED TV?

TCL has the widest choice at 40 inch. EcoStar offers a QLED model at a very competitive price, Dawlance’s Kore brings Google TV, and Hisense’s 40A4G uses direct LED backlighting for more even brightness.

How wide is a 40 inch TV?

The screen of a 40 inch TV is about 35 inches wide and 19.5 inches high, or roughly 2.9 by 1.6 feet. The frame adds about an inch. Check the stand width on the product page if it is going on a narrow unit.

Buying from AYS

What warranty comes with a 40 inch LED TV?

Most 40 inch TVs here carry a 2 year official warranty. The exact term is on each product page, and every TV is 100% original with the official manufacturer warranty.

Is delivery free, and are there charges on Cash on Delivery?

Delivery is free anywhere in Pakistan on advance payment, even a partial one, and free inside Peshawar on every payment method. Cash on Delivery orders outside Peshawar carry a delivery charge plus government taxes (2% sales tax and 2% income tax), which we confirm by phone before dispatch. Paying any advance removes both.

Can I buy an LED TV on installments?

Yes. You can pay in installments with zero down payment using a Bank Alfalah, JS Bank or MCB credit or debit card, and the whole process happens online. Your bank’s markup applies, and Bank Alfalah plans also carry a processing fee.
