Food factory or food processor: what is the difference?

There is no real difference. A food processor is the international name, and food factory is the name most Pakistani buyers and shops use for the same machine. Both have one motor base with a bowl and a set of blades and discs on top.

When a seller says food factory, they usually mean a fuller set: a chopping bowl, slicing and grating discs, a dough blade, a blender jar, a dry mill and sometimes a juicer or citrus press. A basic food processor may come with only the bowl, the chopping blade and one or two discs. Count the tools in the box, not the name on it.

A chopper is different. It only chops, in a small bowl, and it cannot slice, grate or knead. If chopping onions and garlic is all you need, a chopper from our choppers and grinders range costs less. You may also see searches for a Haier food factory price in Pakistan. Our food factory range comes from the brands in the table above, so compare those on power, bowl size and warranty.

Food Processor with Dough Kneading: Price in Pakistan

A food processor that kneads dough costs Rs. 15,300 to Rs. 70,000 in Pakistan today. Kneading is the hardest job a food processor does, because stiff atta loads the motor far more than chopping.

For roti and paratha dough every day, choose a model of 800 W or more with a plastic dough blade. Knead one batch at a time, stay within the flour limit in the manual, and let the motor rest for a few minutes between batches. Add water slowly through the feed tube while it runs, and stop as soon as the dough forms a ball.

1000 Watt Food Factory Price in Pakistan

A 1,000 W food factory costs Rs. 13,100 to Rs. 62,500 today. This is the size most families choose when they want one machine for dough, kebab mince, salad and shakes.

At 1,000 W the motor handles a full bowl of mince or dough without straining or smelling hot. It also slices a kilo of onions in a minute or two, which is a real help in Ramzan or when guests are coming. If your family is small and you rarely knead dough, an 800 W model saves money without losing much.

Food Factory with Juicer: Price in Pakistan

A food factory with a juicer attachment costs Rs. 13,100 to Rs. 62,500 today. It saves you buying a separate juicer machine for carrot, apple or pomegranate juice.

A juicer attachment is handy for a glass or two at a time. If your family drinks fresh juice every day, a dedicated juicer from our juicer machine range is quicker and easier to clean. For kinnow and lemons, a simple citrus press attachment is all you need.

Food processor bowl size by family

A bowl that is too small means three batches instead of one. Too big, and a small amount of onion just spins around the blade. Match it to the people you cook for.

Live Food Factory prices in Pakistan by Bowl or jug size
Bowl or jug size Price range today Suits
1 litre Rs. 13,100 to Rs. 28,000 A couple or a small family of two to three
1.2 litre Rs. 12,600 to Rs. 12,600 A family of three to four
1.5 litre Rs. 11,600 to Rs. 36,900 A family of four to five, the most common choice
1.7 litre Rs. 14,700 to Rs. 21,900 A family of five to six
3 litre Rs. 52,000 to Rs. 62,500 Joint families and large batches
3.4 litre Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 70,000 Big families, guests and weekend cooking

How to choose a food factory: step by step

  1. List your jobs. Write down what you will make every week: onions, salad, dough, mince, chutney, juice. Buy for those jobs, not for the number on the box.
  2. Pick the power. 400 to 600 W for chopping and slicing, 800 W for regular dough, 1,000 W or more for big daily batches.
  3. Pick the bowl size. About 1 litre for two people, 1.5 litres for most families, 3 litres for a joint family.
  4. Check the attachments. A dough blade, slicing and grating discs and a blender jar cover most Pakistani cooking. A juicer or dry mill is a bonus.
  5. Check speeds and pulse. Two speeds and a pulse button are enough for most kitchens. Pulse gives coarse kebab mince instead of paste.
  6. Check safety. A safety lock that stops the motor unless the lid is closed is a must if children are around.
  7. Compare price and warranty. Use the tables above, then check each model’s price history before you order.

Food processor electricity use, UPS and voltage

A food processor costs very little to run. A 1,000 W machine working for five minutes uses about 0.08 units of electricity, so even daily use barely shows on the bill.

Load-shedding is the bigger question. A motor pulls extra current for a moment when it starts, so a small home UPS may beep or trip, especially while kneading dough. As a rough guide, run it on a UPS rated well above the motor’s wattage, or save the heavy jobs for when the grid is on. Where voltage drops in the evening, the motor works harder and runs hotter, so knead in short bursts.

Food factory care tips

  • Wash parts straight away. Rinse the bowl, blades and discs before food dries on them, especially after dough and turmeric.
  • Handle blades with care. Slicing discs and the steel blade are very sharp. Keep them in their holder, away from children.
  • Do not overload it. Fill the bowl only to the max line, and follow the flour limit for dough.
  • Let it rest. After a long run, switch it off for a few minutes so the motor cools down.
  • Keep the base dry. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Never put it under the tap.
  • Check the seals. A cracked lid or worn rubber ring causes leaks from the blender jar; replace it early.

Which food factory brand is best in Pakistan?

There is no single best brand. National and Signature give the most food factory for the money, with 800 to 1,000 W motors and a good set of tools. Kenwood, Philips and Panasonic cost more and are known for build quality, quieter motors and better discs. Dawlance, Ocean, Super Asia and Aardee cover compact and value models. Choose the power and bowl size first, then pick between two or three brands on price and warranty.

Food Factory Price in Pakistan: FAQs

What is the food processor price in Pakistan today?

In Pakistan, food factory prices range from Rs. 11,600 for a National 1.5 litre food processor to Rs. 70,000 for a Philips 1300 W food processor. Prices are updated daily across 24 in-stock models.

Which food factory is best for a family of five?

A family of five usually needs a food factory of 800 to 1,000 W with a bowl of about 1.5 to 1.7 litres. Make sure it has a dough blade and slicing discs. If you knead dough every day or cook for guests often, step up to 1,000 W.

Can a food processor make kebab mince?

Yes. Use the steel chopping blade and the pulse button, in short bursts, with cold meat cut into cubes. Pulse gives a coarse mince for seekh and chapli kebab. Running it non-stop turns the meat into paste and warms the motor.

How many watts should a food factory have?

For chopping, slicing and chutney, 400 to 600 W is enough. For regular roti dough, choose 800 W or more. For heavy daily use, large batches of dough or mince, and a joint family, 1,000 W or more is the safe choice.

What warranty comes with a food processor?

Most food processors carry a 1 year official warranty. Some models list 2 years. The exact term is on each product page, and every unit we sell is 100% original.

Is delivery free, and are there charges on Cash on Delivery?

You get free delivery in Peshawar with any payment method, and free delivery across Pakistan with advance payment, full or partial. Cash on Delivery orders outside Peshawar carry a delivery charge plus 2% sales tax and 2% income tax, which we confirm by phone before dispatch.

Can I buy a food factory on installments?

Yes. You can buy a food factory on installments with zero down payment using a Bank Alfalah, JS Bank or MCB credit or debit card, and the whole process is online. The bank’s markup applies, and Bank Alfalah plans also carry a processing fee.

Why do food processor prices change?

Most food processors are imported, so prices move with the dollar rate, import costs and seasonal demand, for example before Ramzan and Eid. We update prices daily, and every product page shows its price history, so you can see whether today’s price is a good one.

Is a food processor worth it for a small kitchen?

Yes, if you cook most days. A compact 400 to 600 W model takes little counter space and saves time on onions, tomatoes and salad. If you only need chopping, a smaller chopper may be enough and costs less.
