The National Distributor range
The ND-61 and ND-81 are 1,200 W dry irons, the lightweight ND-61 and the non-stick ND-81. The ND-306 is a 1,600 W steam iron with a ceramic soleplate, the GS-302, GS-304 and GS-305 are steam irons, the last with a 30 second heat-up, and the GS-4097 adds high-pressure steam. The GS-3096 is an 1,800 W garment steamer with an integrated press board, alongside the GS-3099.

A 1,200 W dry iron used 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week, uses about 7.8 units a month, roughly Rs. 470. Your UPS will overload each time the heater switches on; on battery, stick to an iron of about 800 W or less.
Estimates. An iron draws its full rated watts whenever its heater is on, then the thermostat switches it off for a while, so the average is lower than the rating: about half for a dry iron, two-thirds for a steam iron in use, and most of the time for a garment steamer. A UPS or inverter must handle the full rating plus whatever else is running. Check the watt figure on your UPS label; a “1 kVA” home UPS usually gives about 800 W.
