1 Ton Inverter AC Price in Pakistan

A 1 ton inverter AC costs between Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 175,000 in Pakistan today. This is the AC most families buy for a child's room or a guest bedroom.

An inverter AC 1 ton unit slows its compressor down once the room is cool, instead of switching fully on and off. On a long summer night that saves a lot of units. If you only look at the price tag, a non-inverter looks cheaper. Over two or three summers, the 1 ton AC inverter model usually costs you less in total.

1 ton full DC inverter AC price

A 1 ton full DC inverter AC costs Rs. 112,000 to Rs. 155,000. Full DC models run the compressor and both fans on variable-speed motors. They are a little quieter and more efficient than a standard inverter, which you notice most in a bedroom at night.

1 Ton T3 AC Price in Pakistan

A 1 ton T3 AC costs from Rs. 103,500 to Rs. 175,000. T3 is a climate class. A T3 compressor is built to keep cooling when it is about 52°C outside, so the room stays cool at 4 pm in June.

If you live in Peshawar, Multan, Sukkur or Karachi, or the outdoor unit sits on a hot roof, pay the extra for T3. In Islamabad or a shaded spot, a T1 model is usually enough.

Is a 1 ton AC enough for your room?

A 1 ton AC is enough for a room of up to about 150 sq ft on a ground or middle floor. Measure the room in feet and multiply length by width.

• 10 by 12 feet (120 sq ft): 1 ton is plenty.
• 12 by 12 feet (144 sq ft): 1 ton is right, unless the room is under the roof.
• 12 by 14 feet (168 sq ft): go for 1.5 ton.

Step up to a 1.5 ton AC if the room is on the top floor, has a big west-facing window, or usually holds more than three people. A 1 ton AC running flat out all afternoon uses more power than a 1.5 ton that cruises.

1 ton AC watts, units and electricity bill

A 1 ton inverter AC draws roughly 1,000 to 1,200 watts while it cools a hot room down. Once the room reaches your set temperature, it drops to a few hundred watts. Over a summer night it averages about half a unit an hour, so eight hours a night comes to roughly 130 units a month.

Can a 1 ton AC run on a UPS or solar?

Yes, a 1 ton inverter AC is the easiest AC to run on backup power. It starts softly and then draws a steady, low current. Your UPS or hybrid inverter must still be rated well above the AC's running watts, so check both labels before you connect it.

Is there a 1 ton floor standing AC?

1. Check the room. Up to about 150 sq ft on a lower floor suits 1 ton. Bigger or hotter rooms need 1.5 ton.
