Haier HCC-Q87388-N Kitchen Hob, 76 cm, 3 Brass Burners, Stainless Steel, Silver

The Haier HCC-Q87388-N is a 76 cm built-in gas hob with three brass burners, a 5.0 kW main burner, a silver SUS 201 stainless steel body, flat pan supports, piezo auto ignition and a flame failure device. It is the steel-top pick for demanding Pakistani cooking where deghs and karahis see daily use. The HCC-Q87388-N costs Rs. 52,000 at AYS Online today.

Built for desi cooking: the HCC-Q87388-N main burner

Tadka, bhunai and deep frying all need high, direct heat, and that is what a 5.0 kW brass burner gives. It brings a large pot to the boil quickly and keeps a karahi hot enough to sear. Brass resists corrosion, so the flame stays even over years of use, and the two other burners cover rice, daal and chai.

Stainless steel instead of glass

The Q87388-N uses SUS 201 stainless steel. It resists heat, stains and rust, will not crack if a pot lid is dropped, and cleans with a damp cloth. The flat pan supports hold pressure cookers and large deghchis without wobbling.

• Flame failure device: if the flame goes out from a spill or draught, the sensor closes the gas valve.
• Piezo ignition: a push-button spark that does not need mains power, so it works through load-shedding.
• Silver finish that matches a steel sink and chimney.

Fitting the 76 cm HCC-Q87388-N

The hob drops into a standard 680 x 380 mm cut-out, which suits most kitchen counters in Pakistan. Confirm the opening before the slab is cut, and have a qualified gas fitter make the connection.

Who it suits: joint families and busy kitchens where the hob runs from early morning paratha to late-night chai. If your family regularly cooks in large deghs or prefers heavy karahi dishes, the combination of a 5.0 kW brass burner, flat steel supports and a steel top makes more sense than a glass hob that needs gentler handling. Smaller households will still value the safety cut-off and easy cleaning.
