Dawlance Steam Iron DWSI-7282, 300 ml, Ceramic, Auto Shut-Off, Blue White

The Dawlance DWSI-7282 in blue and white is a 2200W steam iron with a ceramic soleplate, a 300 ml water tank and auto shut-off. The Dawlance DWSI-7282 price in Pakistan at AYS Online is Rs. 10,500, with the official brand warranty, for families who iron cotton suits, uniforms and bedsheets every week.

Steam, vertical ironing and safety

At 2200W the iron heats quickly, and the 300 ml tank gives a good run of steam before you need to refill. Vertical ironing lets you hold the iron upright and steam hanging clothes or curtains without laying them on the board. An anti-drip system helps stop water spotting fabric at lower heat settings, and auto shut-off switches the iron off if it is left unattended, a real comfort on a rushed school morning. A self-clean function helps flush the steam vents.

An iron or steamer is one of the heaviest electrical loads in a home. Most household UPS units are not built for a load like this, so plan ironing for when mains power is on rather than during load-shedding.

Looking after a ceramic soleplate

Clean the soleplate only when the iron is cold, using a soft damp cloth. Avoid metal scrapers and abrasive pads, which can scratch the surface. Iron delicate fabrics first at a lower heat, then move to cotton and linen.

Where tap water is hard, filling the tank with filtered or boiled-and-cooled water helps slow scale build-up inside any steam appliance. Empty the tank after use and store the unit upright once it has cooled.
