Signature Hood S3 Butterfly Kitchen Hood, 90 cm Silver, Mechanical Control

The Signature Hood S3 is a 90 cm butterfly-design kitchen hood in silver with simple mechanical controls, 1100 m³/h of suction and a 220W rating. LED lighting and a no-nonsense button panel make it a straightforward choice for a four-burner stove in a family kitchen. The S3 costs Rs. 94,000 at AYS Online today.

Why choose mechanical control on the S3?

Touch and gesture panels look modern, but some households prefer physical buttons. They give a clear, firm response, they work the same way for an elderly parent as for a teenager, and there is no sensor that gets confused by steam. On the S3, the button panel handles the fan speed and lights, which is all most kitchens need day to day.

How the S3 butterfly shape handles smoke

A butterfly canopy has two sloped wings that open over the stove and narrow into the chimney. That shape guides rising smoke and steam towards the filter instead of letting it drift past the edges. At 90 cm wide, the S3 covers a standard four-burner stove or a 90 cm hob, so smoke from the outer burners is caught too.

• 1100 m³/h suction: pulls smoke, odours and grease out of a home kitchen during frying and tarka.
• 220W rating: the stated power of the hood.
• LED lighting: bright, energy-efficient light so you can see the colour of your onions and the state of your roti.
• Silver finish: matches steel sinks and most appliance colours.

Keeping the S3 working well

Like any hood, the S3 works best when its filter is kept clean. Wash it in hot soapy water every few weeks, more often if you deep-fry regularly, and wipe the silver body with a damp cloth. Keep the duct as short and straight as you can, since every bend costs airflow. The S3 comes with a 1-year official brand warranty.
