QLED at 85 inches: what the QA85Q70CAUSMM gives you

QLED panels use quantum dots to produce a wider range of colours with strong brightness. On an 85 inch screen that matters, because the larger the picture, the more obvious dull or uneven colour becomes. The QA85Q70CAUSMM pairs that colour with 4K Ultra HD, four times the detail of Full HD, so even at this size faces, text and fine textures stay sharp from a normal seating distance.

Streaming and gaming on the 85 inch Q70C

As a smart TV on Tizen OS, it connects to popular streaming services and can play 4K streams where the service and your internet connection allow. Samsung lists enhanced gaming picture quality for this model, aimed at smoother visuals and quicker response for console players. The slim body keeps such a large screen from looking bulky on the wall.

Before you buy an 85 inch QA85Q70CAUSMM

For 85 inch 4K, a seating distance of about 8 to 10.5 feet works well, which usually means a hall, a large drawing room or a dedicated TV room. Measure the wall, and check stairs and door widths on the delivery route, as the box is large. A wired or strong Wi-Fi connection helps 4K streams run without buffering during busy evening hours. Decide early whether it goes on a wall bracket or a stand, so the furniture and power points are ready.
