Philips Onion Chef HR2505 Chopper, 500W, Coarse and Fine Chopping

The Philips Onion Chef HR2505 is a 500W chopper with coarse and fine chopping and automatic speed selection. Philips Onion Chef HR2505 price in Pakistan at AYS Online is Rs. 27,000. It uses sharp stainless steel blades, so it suits households that chop onion, garlic and vegetables every day and want a choice between a chunky and a fine result.

Coarse and fine chopping

The HR2505 gives you two chopping functions, coarse and fine. Its ChopDrop system uses three fine stainless steel blades for the fine result, while a separate high-speed chopping blade handles harder ingredients. Speed is selected automatically, so there is no dial to set. A coarse chop suits onion for a karahi or salad; the fine setting suits garlic, ginger and herbs that need to melt into a masala.

Getting a good chop every day

A few habits suit any electric chopper. Peel onion, garlic and ginger and cut them into rough chunks first, so the blades catch them evenly. Do not pack the bowl to the brim. Work in short bursts and check the texture often, because a few seconds too long turns a coarse chop for salan into a paste. Wipe the motor unit with a damp cloth only, and if you chop during load-shedding on a UPS or solar inverter, make sure it can carry the motor’s rated wattage.
