What the National SM-100 offers
2-slice capacity
Makes two sandwiches at a time.
1000W heating
A strong rating for a 2-slice unit.
Non-stick plates
Coated plates help bread release cleanly and wipe down easily.
Cool-touch handle
A handle designed to stay comfortable to hold while the plates heat.
The National SM-100 from National Distributor is a 2-slice sandwich maker rated at 1000W, with non-stick plates and a cool-touch handle in silver and black. National SM-100 price in Pakistan at AYS Online is Rs. 9,000, with a 1-year official brand warranty, for quick breakfast toasties and evening snacks.
2 slices at 1000W
A 1000W rating is on the stronger side for a 2-slice sandwich maker, which helps the plates come up to heat quickly on cold winter mornings. The cool-touch handle gives a safer grip while you open and close the lid, and the silver and black finish suits most kitchens.
Power draw on UPS or solar
The rated power is 1000W. A sandwich maker pulls close to its full rating while it heats up, so during load-shedding make sure your UPS or solar inverter can handle that on top of the fans and lights already running. Plug it straight into a properly earthed wall socket rather than a thin extension lead.
Looking after the non-stick plates
Let the plates cool before cleaning and wipe them with a soft damp cloth. Use wooden or silicone tools instead of a knife or fork to lift out a toastie, and skip scouring pads, so the coating stays smooth for quick breakfasts, cheese toasties and leftover-qeema sandwiches for school tiffins.

I usually check a few shops before buying, this time I tried AYS. I liked that there was no confusion about which item I selected. I did have to ask one question before ordering, but got it cleared up. No shiping charge for Mardan after I made full advance payment. The final delivery estimate could be more specific. The free shipping made a difference to the overall cost. For now I am satisfied with what I got.
