The National SM-211 from National Distributor is a 4-slice sandwich maker rated at 1400W, with adjustable temperature control, non-stick plates and upright storage. National SM-211 price in Pakistan at AYS Online is Rs. 10,900, with a 1-year official brand warranty, for larger families who want breakfast for everyone in one go.
Four slices with temperature control
Four slices at a time means fewer batches when the whole family sits down for breakfast or guests arrive for evening tea. Adjustable temperature control lets you go lighter for soft bread or crisper for a proper toastie. The 1400W rating is high for a home appliance, so plan for it on a UPS, and upright storage saves counter space afterwards.
Power draw on UPS or solar
The rated power is 1400W. A sandwich maker pulls close to its full rating while it heats up, so during load-shedding make sure your UPS or solar inverter can handle that on top of the fans and lights already running. Plug it straight into a properly earthed wall socket rather than a thin extension lead.
Looking after the non-stick plates
Let the plates cool before cleaning and wipe them with a soft damp cloth. Use wooden or silicone tools instead of a knife or fork to lift out a toastie, and skip scouring pads, so the coating stays smooth for quick breakfasts, cheese toasties and leftover-qeema sandwiches for school tiffins.
