The Kenwood IFC01.000BK is a single-burner infrared cooker in black, rated at 2000W, with touch control, a four-digit LED display and a timer of up to 4 hours. The Kenwood IFC01.000BK price in Pakistan is Rs. 25,700 at AYS Online, with a 1-year official brand warranty, for flats and small families who want an electric backup to the gas stove.
Touch control, LED display and timer
It is operated by touch control, with a four-digit LED display showing your setting. The timer runs up to 4 hours, useful when you leave daal or a stew to cook slowly. The cooker also has overheat protection, and it runs on standard 220 to 240V, 50/60Hz household supply.
Infrared heating and your cookware
Ceramic, infrared and coil hot plates heat the pot by contact and radiated heat, so they do not need magnetic induction cookware. A flat, dry base sits best and heats most evenly. That means the steel and aluminium pots already in your kitchen can be used. The surface stays hot for a while after switching off, so give it time to cool before wiping it down.
Running 2000W on UPS or solar
An electric hot plate draws close to its full rated power while it heats, and this one is rated at 2000W. During load-shedding, check that your UPS or solar inverter can supply that load on top of fans and lights before you start cooking. Plug it straight into a properly earthed wall socket rather than a thin extension lead.
