What the digital display adds on the HCH-9021G

Many touch hoods give you a row of lit icons and little else. The HCH-9021G adds a digital display alongside its touch panel, so you can see the setting at a glance instead of guessing which speed is running. Combine that with hand gesture control and you have two ways to work it: tap for exact changes, or wave a hand in front of the sensor to switch it on or off when your hands are wet or covered in dough.

Three speeds and 1000 m³/h on the HCH-9021G

The 1000 m³/h suction rating is there for the heavy moments in Pakistani cooking, such as bhunai, deep frying and tarka. The three adjustable speeds let you scale it down the rest of the time:

• Low: rice, daal and chai.
• Medium: everyday salan and sabzi.
• High: pakoras, samosas and a karahi on full flame.

The hood is engineered for quiet operation, so it can run through the whole cooking session without making conversation hard.

Keeping the HCH-9021G clean

The auto-clean function spins the internal blower at high speed so accumulated grease is flung into a collection tray, which helps keep airflow steady and reduces the need for deep cleaning. The mesh filter is removable: wash it in warm soapy water every few weeks. The slanted shape also tilts the canopy away from your head and gives a clearer view of the pots, and the 40 cm chimney and LED light complete the setup.
