Haier HCC-832 DGG Built-in Gas Hob, 3 Burners, FFD, Black Glass

The Haier HCC-832 DGG is a three-burner built-in gas hob with a black glass top, auto ignition and flame failure device (FFD) protection. It is a straightforward pick for a family kitchen that wants a clean glass look with a safety cut-off on the gas. The HCC-832 DGG costs Rs. 58,000 at AYS Online today.

How FFD protection on the HCC-832 DGG works

A flame failure device watches each flame. If it goes out, because a pot of milk boils over, a pressure cooker whistle sprays water, or a fan blows across the kitchen, the device stops the gas to that burner. Without it, gas can keep flowing into the room unnoticed. In homes with children, elderly parents or a cook who steps away to answer the door, that cut-off is the feature that matters most on a gas hob.

Note that you hold the knob in for a few seconds after lighting so the device warms up; that is normal behaviour on any FFD hob.

Three burners and a glass top in daily use

Three burners cover the usual Pakistani meal: salan on one, rice or a roti tawa on another, and chai or milk on the third. The glass surface is what gives the HCC-832 DGG its finished look. It wipes clean after an oily tarka, but it rewards a little care:

• Let it cool before cleaning, then use a soft cloth and a mild cleaner.
• Avoid steel wool and scouring powder, which scratch glass.
• Set heavy pots down gently rather than dropping them on the surface.

Planning the HCC-832 DGG installation

As a built-in hob it sits flush in a cut-out in your marble or granite counter. Confirm the cut-out size with us before your slab is cut, tell us whether you are on a Sui gas line or a cylinder, and have a qualified gas fitter make and leak-test the connection. Auto ignition means no matchbox beside the stove.

Ask us if you are weighing it against a steel-top model.
