The Gree GF-24TFIH is a 2 ton floor standing inverter AC for heating and cooling, with a T3 twin rotary compressor, R-32 refrigerant and low voltage operation. Why choose a floor standing AC
A floor standing AC suits a drawing room, hall, shop or office where a wall unit is hard to place, or where you want air thrown across a larger open space. A 2 ton unit is generally chosen for these bigger rooms. Leave clear space in front of the cabinet so airflow is not blocked by furniture.
T3 is a climate class used for compressors rated for hot tropical conditions, which is why buyers in Pakistan look for it on spec sheets ahead of the June and July heat.
Turbo, sleep, defrost and timer functions
Retailer specifications for this model list turbo cooling, a sleep mode, dehumidify (dry) mode, intelligent defrost, self-diagnosis, an on/off timer, multi fan speeds and auto restart after a power cut, which is handy during load-shedding.
A heat and cool split AC runs its refrigerant cycle in reverse for heating, so the same indoor unit warms the room on winter mornings and cools it through the summer. It runs on electricity, so heating does not depend on gas pressure, which is useful when the line runs low in the coldest weeks.
