Washing machine prices in Pakistan at a glance
The price of a washing machine depends first on its type and then on its capacity. Baby machines and semi-automatic single tubs are the most affordable, twin tubs with a spin dryer come next, fully automatic top loads sit in the middle, and inverter front loads and washer-dryers cost the most. The right choice depends on your water pressure, the size of your family and how much of the work you want the machine to do.
“Typical” is the middle price among all models. Every figure on this page updates daily.
Washing machine price in Pakistan by type
Choose the type first, then the capacity. The table shows what each type costs today and who it suits. A twin tub is also a semi-automatic, so the two rows overlap.
| Type | Price range | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Semi-automatic (all) | Rs. 11,500 – Rs. 89,500 | Weak water pressure and tight budgets |
| Single tub | Rs. 18,700 – Rs. 89,500 | The lowest price for a full-size wash |
| Twin tub (wash and spin) | Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 50,500 | Most family homes on a budget |
| Fully automatic | Rs. 20,900 – Rs. 435,000 | Hands-free washing with steady water pressure |
| Front load automatic | Rs. 98,000 – Rs. 435,000 | The gentlest wash and the driest spin |
| Inverter automatic | Rs. 83,000 – Rs. 435,000 | Quieter running and lower electricity use |
| Mini and baby | Rs. 11,500 – Rs. 25,000 | Hostel rooms, baby clothes and small loads |
Semi-automatic or automatic, top load or front load?
Single tub
One tub that washes and drains. You fill it with a hose or bucket, and wring or line-dry the clothes afterwards. There is very little to go wrong, and water pressure does not matter at all.
Best for: the lowest budget and homes with weak water supply.
Twin tub
One tub washes and the other spins. Brands often call it a “washing machine and dryer”, but the second tub is a spin dryer: it squeezes most of the water out so clothes dry faster on the line. It does not heat or fully dry them.
Best for: most families who want value and control.
Automatic top load
Load it from the top, choose a programme and it fills, washes, rinses, drains and spins by itself. You can add a forgotten shirt mid-wash. It needs a water tap with steady pressure and a drain.
Best for: busy families with a reliable water supply.
Front load
A horizontal drum that tumbles clothes rather than churning them. It uses less water, washes more gently and spins faster, so clothes come out drier. Cycles are longer, and it needs good pressure and a level floor.
Best for: good fabrics and lower water use.
Inverter
An inverter or direct drive motor changes speed smoothly instead of running flat out, so it is quieter, vibrates less and uses less electricity. Almost every Samsung and LG machine here is inverter, along with selected Haier, Dawlance and Super Asia models.
Best for: daily use where running costs matter.
Washer-dryer
A front load that washes and then dries with hot air in the same drum, such as the Samsung WD models. The drying capacity is smaller than the washing capacity, so a full wash is usually dried in two halves.
Best for: flats without space to hang clothes.

“Washing machine and dryer”: what the dryer really does
In Pakistan, a machine sold as a “washing machine and dryer” is usually a twin tub, and its dryer is a spinner: it squeezes water out, but clothes still go on the line. Only a front load washer-dryer dries with hot air.
| Type | What you do | How clothes come out |
|---|---|---|
| Twin tub | Fill the wash tub, wash, lift the wet clothes into the spin tub, rinse and spin. You stay with it for the whole wash. | Damp, ready for the line |
| Automatic top load | Load dry clothes, press start and walk away until the cycle ends. | Damp, ready for the line |
| Front load | The same as a top load, with a longer cycle. | Drier, because it spins faster, usually 1,200 to 1,400 RPM |
| Front load washer-dryer | Wash, then dry in the same drum, such as the Samsung WD models. | Dry enough to wear, but a full wash-and-dry takes several hours and uses much more electricity; the drying load is smaller than the washing load |

What capacity washing machine do you need?
Capacity in kg is the weight of dry clothes the machine can wash in one load, not the size of the tub. In Pakistani homes, shalwar kameez, bedsheets and winter blankets add up quickly, so most families are happiest one size above what the label suggests.
A single tub or a small automatic. A 1 to 4 kg baby machine for a hostel room.
The most popular size, in a twin tub or an automatic top load.
Fewer loads a week, and room for bedsheets and heavier shalwar kameez.
Blankets, curtains and a full week of laundry in fewer runs.
Large automatic top loads for heavy daily use.
Our tip: on a twin tub, the spin tub is always smaller than the wash tub. If you wash heavy loads, check the spin capacity on the product page as well as the wash capacity.
How many clothes fit: kg to shalwar kameez
An adult cotton shalwar kameez weighs roughly 0.5 to 0.7 kg dry, and a drum washes best at about four-fifths full. Lawn suits are lighter, so more fit; khaddar and winter suits are heavier, so fewer do. Wet blankets are very heavy, so wash one at a time.
| Capacity | Cotton shalwar kameez a load | Or bedding |
|---|---|---|
| 6 to 7 kg | About 8 to 9 | Bedsheets and pillow covers |
| 8 to 9 kg | About 10 to 12 | One single blanket |
| 10 to 12 kg | About 13 to 16 | A double razai or king-size blanket at 12 kg |
| 13 to 15 kg | About 17 to 20 | A double razai with room to move |
| 17 kg and more | About 22 and more | Heavy winter bedding, curtains and a joint family’s daily wash |

For 5 people washing 4 loads a week, a 10 to 12 kg twin tub fits: about 13 cotton shalwar kameez a load, or a single blanket. It takes about 2,400 litres of water and 4 units a month, roughly Rs. 260 to run, with about 9 hours of hands-on work.
You fill it yourself by hose or bucket, so water pressure does not matter, and it is the lowest-cost way to wash a family’s clothes. The second tub spins clothes damp-dry for the line.
Water a month by type, at this size
Estimates for washing in tap water, as most Pakistani homes do. Water per load: twin tub about 14 litres per kg of capacity (wash tub plus two rinses), automatic top load about 13, front load about 6.5. Electricity per load: about 0.25, 0.35 and 0.4 units. A front load hot-water programme adds about 0.5 to 1.4 units a load for its heater. Hands-on time counts filling, moving clothes to the spin tub and rinsing, not hanging clothes out.

| 17 kg | Rs. 123,900 – Rs. 210,000 | Rs. 131,000 |
| 20 kg | Rs. 89,500 – Rs. 198,500 | Rs. 144,000 |
| 21 kg | Rs. 230,000 – Rs. 260,000 | Rs. 245,000 |
Features worth paying for
- Spin speed: measured in RPM. Top loads usually spin at around 700 to 800 RPM and front loads at 1,200 to 1,400 RPM. A faster spin leaves clothes drier, which helps in winter and in the monsoon.
- Quick wash: a short programme for lightly worn clothes, saving time, water and power.
- Auto restart: resumes the programme after a power cut.
- Tub clean: a cleaning cycle that keeps the drum free of smells and build-up.
- Child lock: locks the controls so the programme cannot be changed mid-wash.
- Steam or hygiene programmes: higher-temperature washes on premium models, useful for bedding and baby clothes.
- Body material: a plastic body will not rust, while a metal or steel body is sturdier. Both are common on semi-automatic machines.
Which washing machine suits your home?
Match the machine to your family, your water and your electricity, not just the price.
| Your situation | What to choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Joint family of 8 or more, daily washing | 12 to 15 kg twin tub, or a 15 to 20 kg automatic top load | Fewer loads a day, and room for bedsheets and razai in one wash |
| Family of 4 to 6 | 9 to 12 kg twin tub or automatic top load | The most popular size; handles a day’s clothes plus bedsheets |
| Couple, bachelor or hostel room | 6 to 8 kg single tub or twin tub, or a compact front load | Low price, small footprint, little water |
| Weak or irregular water pressure | Twin tub or single tub | You fill it yourself, so pressure does not matter |
| Frequent load-shedding | Twin tub, or an automatic with auto restart | A twin tub simply carries on; auto restart resumes the programme |
| Low or unstable voltage | A low-voltage model such as Dawlance LVS+, or any automatic on a stabiliser | Protects the control board and motor |
| Hard or boring water | Plastic-body machine or stainless drum; avoid relying on the heater | No rust, and less scale on heating parts |
| Flat with no sun to dry clothes | Front load with 1,200 RPM or more, or a washer-dryer | Faster spin leaves clothes drier; a washer-dryer finishes the job |
| Elderly parents | Automatic top load | No bending, no moving wet clothes between tubs, one button to start |
| New baby | A mini washing machine as a second machine | Baby clothes washed separately in small, quick loads |
How many units does a washing machine use?
Estimates from typical motor ratings and cycle times, at four loads a week. Your meter will vary with the programme, load size and water temperature.
| Type | Motor rating on product pages | Estimated units per load | Estimated units a month* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single tub | 280 to 450 W (wash only) | About 0.1 to 0.2 | About 2 to 4 |
| Twin tub | 280 to 450 W wash, 200 to 350 W spin | About 0.15 to 0.3 | About 2 to 5 |
| Automatic top load, tap water | About 450 to 1,000 W | About 0.2 to 0.5 | About 3 to 8 |
| Front load, cold wash | Motor plus pump | About 0.3 to 0.5 | About 5 to 8 |
| Front load, hot wash (40 to 60°C) | Heater of about 2,000 W | About 0.8 to 1.8 | About 14 to 31 |
*Four loads a week. Washing in tap water, as most Pakistani homes do, keeps you in the lower rows.
Water per wash, tankers and detergent
If you buy tanker water, the type of machine matters more than its electricity. These are estimates for an 8 kg load; see the calculator above for your own family and water price.
| Type | Water per load, 8 kg | At 4 loads a week |
|---|---|---|
| Twin tub (wash plus two rinses) | About 110 litres | About 1,900 litres a month |
| Automatic top load | About 100 litres | About 1,800 litres a month |
| Front load | About 50 litres | About 900 litres a month |
Detergent. Automatic machines, and front loads in particular, need low-foam detergent made for machines. It usually costs more per kg, but a front load uses less per wash because it fills with far less water; follow the dose on the pack. Ordinary hand-wash powder makes too much foam in an automatic.
Water pressure, voltage, solar and hard water
Water pressure. Automatic machines fill through a valve that needs pressure behind it. Manufacturer manuals typically list a minimum of about 0.03 MPa (0.3 bar); Haier’s top-load manual, for example, specifies 0.03 to 1.0 MPa. Water from an overhead tank gains roughly 0.1 bar for every metre of height, so the bottom of the tank should sit at least about 3 metres above the machine’s tap. Below that, fit a small pressure pump or choose a twin tub.
Low voltage and power cuts. Motors and control boards suffer most when the voltage sags. Dawlance says its LVS+ top loads keep washing at as low as 150 volts without a stabiliser. For other automatics in low-voltage areas, a stabiliser is cheap insurance. For load-shedding, auto restart resumes the programme when power returns, and semi-automatic machines simply carry on.
UPS and solar. Twin tub and single tub motors of 280 to 450 W run comfortably on a typical 1 kVA home UPS or a small solar inverter. Automatic top loads with larger motors need about 1.5 to 2 kVA to cope with the start-up surge, and any programme that heats water draws around 2,000 W, which most home UPS systems cannot supply.
Hard water. Boring water and hard tap water leave white scale on the drum and heater, make detergent less effective and stiffen clothes. Use a little more detergent (liquid detergent dissolves better in hard water), run the tub-clean programme monthly, clean the inlet filter mesh, and descale every few months with a citric acid cycle. Plastic-body machines and stainless steel drums will not rust.
Twin tubs: buckets, hot water and courtyards
No tap? Fill by bucket
A twin tub or single tub can be filled with a bucket or a hose, so it works without plumbing or water pressure. It still needs somewhere to drain, such as a floor drain.
Warm water, not boiling
You can pour in water heated on the stove or from the geyser, but twin tub manuals typically limit it to about 50 to 55 °C. Never pour in boiling water: it can warp the plastic tub and damage the seals.
Courtyards and bathrooms
A plastic body does not rust, which suits humid bathrooms and courtyards. Keep any machine out of rain and direct sun, on a dry, level spot, and plug it into an earthed socket.
Spinning a blanket
The spin tub is smaller than the wash tub. Spin one blanket at a time, folded evenly around the tub, and stop the spinner if it shakes.
Blankets, vibration, smells and error codes
Washing razai and blankets
A single blanket fits an 8 to 9 kg drum; a double razai or king-size blanket needs 10 to 12 kg or more. Wet blankets are very heavy, so wash one at a time and never pack the spin tub of a twin tub full.
Stopping shaking and walking
Remove the transit bolts from a new front load, level all four feet, and place the machine on a solid floor or anti-vibration pads. Spread the load evenly; one heavy item alone throws the drum off balance.
Stopping bad smells
Leave the lid or door open after washing, wipe the rubber door seal of a front load, clean the drain filter and run the tub-clean programme once a month.
Reading error codes
Codes differ by brand, but most relate to three things: water not filling, water not draining, or an unbalanced load. Check the tap, hose and drain first, then look up the code in your manual or call the brand’s service line.
Using the right detergent
Use front-load or low-foam detergent in automatic machines; ordinary washing powder makes too much foam and can trigger errors.
Placing it in a bathroom
Keep it off a wet floor on a stand, away from the shower, and plug into a properly earthed socket.
Before you buy: a quick checklist
Check your water pressure
An automatic fills itself from the tap, so it needs steady pressure. If your supply is weak or comes and goes, a semi-automatic is the safer buy, or plan for an overhead tank or a small pressure pump.
Plan the drain
Every machine needs a floor drain or an outlet close by. Automatics pump the water out, while most single and twin tubs drain by gravity, so the drain must sit lower than the machine.
Measure the space
Measure width, depth and height, and leave room to open the lid or door. A twin tub is wider than a single tub of the same capacity, and a top load needs clearance above it.
Use an earthed socket
Plug the machine into an earthed socket, ideally on a circuit with a breaker. Water and electricity sit side by side in a washing machine, so this matters.
Keep it out of sun and rain
Many machines stand in a veranda or on a roof. Direct sun fades and cracks plastic bodies over time, so a covered spot or a cover helps, and a metal or steel body lasts longer outdoors.
Stand it level
A machine that rocks during the spin is noisy and wears faster. Stand it on a flat, solid floor and adjust the feet, especially for a front load.

Choosing a washing machine
Which is better, a top load or a front load washing machine?
A top load is cheaper, lets you add clothes mid-wash and copes better with average water pressure. A front load washes more gently, uses less water and spins faster so clothes come out drier, but it costs more, takes longer per cycle and needs steady pressure and a level floor.
Should I buy a semi-automatic or a fully automatic washing machine?
Buy a semi-automatic if your water pressure is weak or irregular, if your budget is tight, or if you like controlling each step. Buy an automatic if you have a reliable water supply and want to load the machine and walk away.
Does a twin tub washing machine and dryer dry clothes completely?
No. The second tub of a twin tub is a spin dryer. It removes most of the water so clothes dry much faster on the line, but it does not use heat. Only front load washer-dryers dry clothes fully in the machine.
What capacity washing machine is best for a family?
For one or two people, 6 to 7 kg is enough. A family of three or four is best served by 8 to 9 kg, five or six people by 10 to 12 kg, and large or joint families by 13 kg and above.
Using a washing machine
Does an inverter washing machine save electricity?
Yes. An inverter motor adjusts its speed to the load instead of running at full power, so it uses less electricity, runs more quietly and vibrates less. The saving matters most if you wash every day.
How many units of electricity does a washing machine use per month?
Most washes in Pakistan use tap water, so running costs are low. As an estimate, a twin tub uses about 0.15 to 0.3 units a load and an automatic top load about 0.2 to 0.5, which is roughly 2 to 8 units a month at four loads a week. Hot-water programmes on front loads use much more, about 0.8 to 1.8 units a load, because the heater draws around 2,000 W. Inverter models use a little less.
Will an automatic washing machine work with low water pressure?
It needs steady pressure to fill. Manuals typically list a minimum of about 0.03 MPa (0.3 bar). Water from an overhead tank gains roughly 0.1 bar per metre of height, so the tank should sit at least about 3 metres above the tap. Top loads cope better than front loads. If pressure is weak, fit a small pressure pump or choose a twin tub that you fill yourself.
Choosing a washing machine
Which washing machine brand is best in Pakistan?
Super Asia and Dawlance offer the widest choice at every budget, Haier is strong in automatic top loads and front loads, Samsung and LG lead the premium inverter and front load range, and GFC, Royal, Boss and Metro focus on simple semi-automatic machines.
Washing machines in Pakistani homes
Which washing machine is best for a joint family of 8 or more?
Choose 12 to 15 kg if you like a twin tub, or a 15 to 20 kg automatic top load if you want to load it and walk away. The bigger drum means fewer loads a day and room for bedsheets and razai in a single wash.
Can I wash a double razai or king-size blanket in an 8 kg washing machine?
Usually not. A single blanket fits an 8 to 9 kg drum, but a double razai or king-size blanket needs 10 to 12 kg or more. Wet blankets are very heavy and overloading strains the motor and unbalances the drum.
Does an inverter washing machine pay for itself?
Only partly, through electricity. Most Pakistani households wash in tap water, so a washing machine uses only a few units a month and an inverter saves perhaps one or two of them. The stronger reasons to choose an inverter are quieter running, less vibration and, on many models, a longer motor warranty.
Which washing machine works in low voltage areas?
Dawlance says its LVS+ automatic top loads keep washing at as low as 150 volts without a stabiliser. Semi-automatic twin tubs also cope well because they have simple motors. For any other automatic, use a voltage stabiliser.
Can I run a washing machine on UPS or solar?
Yes, for most semi-automatic machines. Their 280 to 450 W motors run on a typical 1 kVA UPS or a small solar inverter. Automatic machines need about 1.5 to 2 kVA, and hot-water programmes draw around 2,000 W, which most home UPS systems cannot supply.
Which washing machine is best for hard or boring water?
Any machine works with hard water if you look after it. A plastic body or stainless steel drum will not rust, washing in cold tap water avoids scale on the heater, and a monthly tub-clean plus a citric acid descale every few months keeps the drum clean.
Which washing machine dries clothes fastest indoors?
A front load with a spin speed of 1,200 RPM or more leaves clothes the driest, so they finish drying quickly indoors. For clothes fully dry without a line, choose a washer-dryer such as the Samsung WD or LG washer-dryer models.
Which washing machine is easiest for elderly parents to use?
An automatic top load. There is no bending, no moving wet clothes between tubs, and one button starts the whole wash, rinse and spin.
Why does my washing machine shake or move during the spin?
Usually the load is uneven, the machine is not level, or the transit bolts are still fitted on a new front load. Spread the clothes evenly, level the feet, place it on a solid floor and never overload the spin tub.
How do I stop my washing machine from smelling?
Leave the lid or door open after each wash, wipe the door seal of a front load, clean the drain filter and run the tub-clean programme once a month.
Is a plastic body or steel body washing machine better?
A plastic body will not rust, which suits damp bathrooms and humid cities. A steel or metal body is sturdier and resists knocks but should be kept dry. The motor and drum matter more for how long the machine lasts.
What is the difference between direct drive and belt drive?
A belt drive motor turns the drum through a belt and pulleys. A direct drive motor is attached to the drum, so there is no belt to wear out, and it runs quieter with less vibration. LG AI DD and Haier DD models are direct drive.
Choosing a washing machine
How many shalwar kameez can I wash in an 8 kg washing machine?
About 10 to 12 adult cotton suits, since each weighs roughly 0.5 to 0.7 kg dry and a drum washes best about four-fifths full. More lawn suits fit, and fewer khaddar or winter suits. An 8 to 9 kg machine also takes one single blanket.
Which washing machine uses the least water?
A front load: about 50 litres for an 8 kg load, against around 100 litres for an automatic top load and 110 for a twin tub with two rinses. If you buy tanker water, the calculator on this page shows the monthly difference at your own price.
Does a front load use more electricity than a twin tub?
Only when it heats water. On a cold or tap-water wash, a front load uses about 0.4 units a load against about 0.25 for a twin tub. A hot programme turns on a heater of about 2,000 W, which can add 0.5 to 1.4 units a load.
Does a washer-dryer dry clothes completely?
Yes, a front load washer-dryer dries clothes with hot air, ready to wear, but a full wash-and-dry takes several hours and uses much more electricity, and its drying load is smaller than its washing load. A twin tub “dryer” only spins clothes damp-dry for the line.
Using a washing machine
Can I fill a semi-automatic washing machine with buckets?
Yes. A twin tub or single tub can be filled by bucket or hose, so it works without a tap or water pressure. It still needs a place to drain, such as a floor drain.
Can I pour hot water into a twin tub washing machine?
Warm water, yes; boiling water, no. Twin tub manuals typically limit the water to about 50 to 55 °C, because hotter water can warp the plastic tub and damage the seals.
Can a twin tub spinner dry a heavy blanket?
It can spin one blanket at a time if the blanket fits and is folded evenly around the tub. The spin tub is smaller than the wash tub, so check its capacity on the product page and stop the spinner if it shakes.
Do front load washing machines need special detergent?
Yes, use low-foam detergent made for automatic or front load machines. It costs more per kg, but a front load uses less per wash because it fills with far less water. Ordinary hand-wash powder makes too much foam.
Can I keep a washing machine in the courtyard?
A plastic body machine does not rust, so it copes with humid spaces, but keep any machine out of rain and direct sun, on a dry, level spot, and plug it into an earthed socket.

What warranty comes with a washing machine?
Most washing machines carry a 1 year official warranty. Many Dawlance, Haier, Super Asia and other models also list a 10 year warranty, and some Samsung models a 20 year warranty, which usually applies to the motor. The exact terms are on each product page, and every machine is 100% original.
Is delivery free, and are there charges on Cash on Delivery?
Delivery is free anywhere in Pakistan on advance payment, even a partial one, and free inside Peshawar on every payment method. Cash on Delivery orders outside Peshawar carry a delivery charge plus government taxes (2% sales tax and 2% income tax), which we confirm by phone before dispatch. Paying any advance removes both.
Can I buy a washing machine on installments?
Yes. You can pay in installments with zero down payment using a Bank Alfalah, JS Bank or MCB credit or debit card, and the whole process happens online. Your bank’s markup applies, and Bank Alfalah plans also carry a processing fee.
Do you install the washing machine?
Installation support is available on selected products. Ask our sales team on 0333-5652643 whether it is available for your model and city. An automatic machine needs a water tap, a drain point and an earthed socket close to where it will stand.
