The Varioline ICE-400 is a 12 cu ft deep freezer that comes with six eutectic bottles and 90 mm insulation, with a non-inverter compressor and a white body. It is aimed at homes and shops where load-shedding makes holding the cold a priority. The Varioline ICE-400 price in Pakistan at AYS Online is Rs. 129,000, with 10 years of compressor warranty.

Eutectic bottles and thick insulation

Eutectic bottles are sealed containers filled with a solution that freezes solid while the freezer is running and then absorbs heat as it slowly thaws. That is why they are used to help hold the cold inside a freezer when the power goes. The ICE-400 includes six of them, and its 90 mm insulation gives the cabinet thick walls. During load-shedding, the simplest way to keep the cold inside any deep freezer is to keep it shut and avoid loading warm food until the power is back. Is 12 cu ft the right size?

A 12 cu ft deep freezer suits a medium household that stocks meat and frozen food, or a small shop, dairy or home kitchen business.
