For Rs.55,000 range you can get this model Dawlance 9140-WB-Chrome Series Refrigerator
Refrigerator price in Pakistan starts from Rs. 34,000 and goes up to Rs. 699,000, updated daily in October 2026. Compare live prices across 456 models of 13 brands and filter by cubic feet, doors, size or features to find the right fridge for your needs.
What you pay depends mostly on size and type. Bedroom and mini fridges are the most affordable, small and medium double doors from 8 to 16 cubic feet cover most family budgets, and inverter, no-frost, side-by-side and multi-door refrigerators sit at the top of the range.
“Typical” is the middle price among all models. Every figure on this page updates daily.
The door layout and the cooling system decide most of the price. A model can appear in more than one row, for example an inverter double door.
| Type | Price range | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Single door | Rs. 34,000 – Rs. 329,000 | Bedrooms, offices and upright all-fridge models |
| Double door (top freezer) | Rs. 44,000 – Rs. 545,000 | Most family kitchens |
| Side-by-side | Rs. 211,000 – Rs. 566,000 | Large families and open kitchens |
| 4-door | Rs. 211,000 – Rs. 699,000 | Big households that sort food by zone |
| French door | Rs. 497,000 – Rs. 699,000 | Premium kitchens with a wide fridge section |
| Inverter | Rs. 64,600 – Rs. 699,000 | Lower bills and long load-shedding hours |
| No frost | Rs. 94,000 – Rs. 685,000 | No manual defrosting, even cooling |
The classic Pakistani family fridge: a freezer on top and a larger fridge section below. It offers the most choice at every budget, from 8 to 20 cubic feet.
Best for: most homes.
An inverter compressor speeds up and slows down instead of switching fully on and off. It uses noticeably less electricity, runs quieter and, on many models, starts at lower voltage, which helps during load-shedding and voltage drops.
Best for: lower bills and unstable power.
Most fridges here are direct cool: simple, efficient and affordable, but the freezer needs defrosting now and then. A no-frost fridge circulates cold air with a fan, so ice never builds up and cooling stays even.
Best for: no frost if you hate defrosting.
A tall freezer on one side and a tall fridge on the other, usually no frost and inverter, often with a water dispenser or ice maker. It needs a wide space and a wide doorway.
Best for: large families and open kitchens.
A wide fridge section on top with two doors, and one or two freezer drawers below. The fridge is at eye level, so you bend less for the food you use most.
Best for: premium kitchens.
A compact single door, or a small double door, for water, drinks and snacks in a bedroom, office or hostel. See our mini fridge range.
Best for: a second fridge.
Stores in Pakistan describe fridges as small, medium or full size. Here is roughly what each means in cubic feet, what it costs today and who it suits.
| Size | Capacity | Price range | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mini and bedroom | About 2 to 6 cubic feet | Rs. 34,000 – Rs. 62,000 | A bedroom, office or hostel room |
| Small size | Roughly 7 to 10 cubic feet | Rs. 52,000 – Rs. 142,000 | One to three people |
| Medium size | Roughly 10 to 16 cubic feet | Rs. 44,000 – Rs. 525,000 | A family of three to five |
| Full size | Roughly 17 cubic feet and up | Rs. 93,700 – Rs. 699,000 | Large and joint families |
Capacity is measured in cubic feet or litres (one cubic foot is about 28 litres). Pakistani kitchens store more than most: milk, yogurt, fruit, cooked food for the next day and meat after Eid. If you are between two sizes, choose the bigger one.
A mini or bedroom fridge for water, drinks and snacks.
A small double door with a separate freezer.
The most popular size for a Pakistani family kitchen.
Room for weekly shopping, milk, fruit and Eid meat.
A full-size double door, side-by-side or multi-door fridge.

Match the fridge to your family, your electricity and your kitchen, not just the price.
| Your situation | What to choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Joint family of 8 or more, buying meat in bulk | An 18 to 22 cubic feet fridge, or a 14 to 16 cubic feet fridge plus a deep freezer | A deep freezer holds far more meat, especially at Eid, and frees the fridge for daily food |
| Family of 4 to 6 | 14 to 16 cubic feet double door | The most popular size in Pakistani homes |
| Couple or family of 3, small flat | 9 to 12 cubic feet double door | Enough space without taking over a small kitchen |
| Bedroom, office or hostel | A 2 to 6 cubic feet mini fridge | Cold water and snacks in a small footprint |
| Long load-shedding | Inverter direct cool fridge with a large freezer | Direct cool freezers hold cold well, and an inverter recovers quickly when power returns |
| Low or unstable voltage | A low-voltage-start model, or a wide-voltage inverter | Starts the compressor when voltage sags; otherwise add a stabiliser |
| Running on UPS or solar | An inverter fridge | Low running draw and a soft start that small UPS systems can handle |
| Lots of fruit and vegetables | A model with humidity control in the crisper | Keeps sabzi and fruit from wilting in dry summer air |
| Open kitchen or premium look | Glass door, no frost, side-by-side or French door | Clean finish, even cooling and no defrosting |
Estimates for Pakistani homes. Use rises in summer, in a hot kitchen and when the door is opened often.
| Fridge | Estimated units a day | Estimated units a month |
|---|---|---|
| Mini or bedroom fridge (2 to 6 cu ft) | About 0.3 to 0.7 | About 9 to 20 |
| 9 to 12 cu ft, non-inverter | About 1.0 to 1.5 | About 30 to 45 |
| 9 to 12 cu ft, inverter | About 0.6 to 1.0 | About 18 to 30 |
| 14 to 18 cu ft, non-inverter | About 1.3 to 2.0 | About 40 to 60 |
| 14 to 18 cu ft, inverter | About 0.8 to 1.3 | About 24 to 39 |
| Side-by-side or French door, inverter | About 1.2 to 2.0 | About 36 to 60 |
Voltage. Many fridges now start at low voltage, so the compressor keeps working when the supply sags on summer evenings. Dawlance says its LVS (Low Voltage Startup) technology runs at as low as 135 volts without a stabiliser, and Haier lists 105 to 260 volts on inverter models such as the HRF-538TIFRA. Gree Everest, the Orient Grand 415H and several Kenwood models are also sold as low-voltage models. Check the voltage range on the product page. If your voltage falls below it, or spikes when power returns, a stabiliser with a time delay protects a non-inverter compressor.
UPS and solar. An inverter fridge draws roughly 70 to 150 watts while running and starts gently, so a 1 kVA pure sine wave UPS or any small solar inverter can run it. A non-inverter compressor needs a surge several times its running power to start, so plan on about 1.5 to 2 kVA.
Load-shedding. Keep the doors shut. The US food safety authority’s guidance is that a full freezer holds its temperature for about 48 hours and a half-full one about 24 hours, while the fridge section keeps food safe for about 4 hours. Keeping a few bottles of water frozen in a half-empty freezer helps it hold cold longer.
Does an inverter pay for itself? An inverter typically saves about 0.4 to 0.7 units a day against a similar non-inverter fridge, roughly 12 to 20 units a month. Multiply that by what you pay per unit, then compare it with the price gap between the two models to see how many months it takes to pay back. A fridge runs all day for ten years or more, which is why inverter models usually repay the difference.
They can dry uncovered food, because a fan circulates cold, dry air. Keep vegetables in the crisper drawer or covered boxes. Models with humidity control, and Samsung’s Twin Cooling Plus with its separate fridge evaporator, keep the fridge section more humid.
Slightly, because of the fan and the automatic defrost. An inverter no frost fridge can use less than an older non-inverter direct cool one of the same size.
Only a little. Ice builds up in the freezer, so defrost it when the ice is about 3 to 5 mm thick. A no frost fridge never needs manual defrosting.
Fridge doors use toughened glass, which is much stronger than ordinary glass and breaks into small, blunt pieces if it ever does break. It shows fingerprints more than a metal (VCM) door.
No. The insulation is the foam inside the door, behind the glass, so a glass door cools just as well as a metal one.
Cover food, keep raw meat in sealed boxes on the bottom shelf, wipe spills straight away, keep an open box of baking soda inside, and clean the door gasket now and then.
After delivery or a move, stand the fridge upright for a few hours before plugging it in, so the compressor oil settles back where it belongs.
Keep a gap of a few inches at the back and sides. A fridge pushed tight against a wall runs hotter, works harder and costs more to run.
Do not place it next to a stove, an oven or a sunny window. A cooler spot saves electricity every single day.
Around 3 to 5 °C in the fridge and about −18 °C in the freezer keeps food fresh without wasting power.
Putting hot food straight in raises the temperature inside and makes the compressor run longer. Let it cool to room temperature first.
On a direct-cool fridge, defrost the freezer when the ice is about 3 to 5 mm thick. A no-frost fridge does this by itself.
One well-priced model from each brand, so you can compare without scrolling the whole range.

Choosing a fridge
A medium size double door of 11 to 16 cubic feet suits most families of four or five. Choose 15 to 18 cubic feet if you buy groceries weekly or store meat after Eid, and 20 cubic feet or more for large or joint families.
For most homes, yes. An inverter refrigerator costs more to buy but uses less electricity, runs quieter and often starts at low voltage. Because a fridge runs day and night, the lower bills usually repay the difference over its life.
A direct cool fridge cools through its walls, which is simple and efficient, but ice builds up in the freezer and must be defrosted now and then. A no frost fridge uses a fan to circulate cold air and defrosts itself, so there is no ice build-up and cooling is more even.
Dawlance, Haier and Orient offer the widest choice of double door fridges at every budget. Samsung and LG lead in premium inverter, no-frost and side-by-side refrigerators, and Signature, Gree, Homage and Kenwood offer strong mid-range and design-led options.
Using a fridge
As an estimate, a 9 to 12 cubic feet inverter fridge uses about 18 to 30 units a month and a non-inverter one about 30 to 45. A 14 to 18 cubic feet fridge uses about 24 to 39 units as an inverter and 40 to 60 as a non-inverter. Use rises in summer and in a hot kitchen. Haier, for example, rates its 19 cubic feet HRF-538TIFRA at 1 unit a day.
Keep the fridge section at about 3 to 5 °C and the freezer at about −18 °C. That keeps food fresh and safe without wasting electricity.
No. Stand it upright for a few hours first so the compressor oil can settle. Switching it on too soon can damage the compressor.
Fridges in Pakistani homes
If you buy meat in bulk, especially at Eid, a 14 to 16 cubic feet fridge plus a separate deep freezer holds far more and keeps the fridge free for daily food. If you mostly store fresh food, one 18 to 22 cubic feet fridge is simpler and uses one socket.
Usually, yes. An inverter typically saves about 0.4 to 0.7 units a day against a similar non-inverter fridge, or roughly 12 to 20 units a month. Multiply that by your unit price and compare it with the price difference; because a fridge runs day and night for years, the saving normally covers the extra cost.
Not if your voltage stays inside the range listed for your model. Dawlance says its LVS models run at as low as 135 volts, and Haier lists 105 to 260 volts on inverter models such as the HRF-538TIFRA. If your voltage drops below that, or spikes when power returns, use a stabiliser with a time delay.
Yes, an inverter fridge runs well on a 1 kVA pure sine wave UPS or a small solar inverter, because it draws roughly 70 to 150 watts and starts gently. A non-inverter fridge needs about 1.5 to 2 kVA for its start-up surge.
With the doors shut, a full freezer holds its temperature for about 48 hours and a half-full one about 24 hours, according to US food safety guidance, while the fridge section keeps food safe for about 4 hours. Avoid opening the doors until power returns.
They can dry uncovered food, because a fan circulates cold, dry air. Keep vegetables in the crisper or covered boxes, or choose a model with humidity control.
Yes. Fridge doors use toughened glass, which is much stronger than ordinary glass and breaks into small, blunt pieces if it ever does. The insulation sits behind the glass, so it cools as well as a metal door.
Cover food, keep raw meat in sealed boxes on the bottom shelf, wipe spills straight away, keep an open box of baking soda inside and clean the door gasket now and then.
