Gas and electric on one hob

Two gas burners handle the karahi and handi, while the hot plate gives you a way to keep cooking when gas pressure drops on winter mornings or the cylinder runs out. The hot plate needs a suitable power point, and a heating element is usually more than a home UPS or small solar setup is meant to run, so plan to use it on mains power. Burners light from the hob itself with auto ignition, so there is no need for matches or a separate lighter.

Before you order: space and gas supply

A built-in hob drops into a cut-out in the kitchen counter, so measure your counter and confirm the cut-out with our team before ordering. Every gas hob also has to be set up for the gas it will burn, an LPG cylinder or a natural gas line, because the two run at different pressures and use different jets. Tell us which supply your kitchen has, and have a qualified fitter make the gas connection.
