What the ND-8850 offers
Blender and dry mill
A blender plus a dry mill for spices, as named in the product title.
Plastic jug
A 1.7 litre plastic jug for family-size shakes and lassi.
Multiple speeds and pulse
Multiple speed settings and pulse to control the final texture.
Rated power
A 500W motor, listed by AYS as heavy duty.
The National ND-8850 is a heavy duty 2-in-1 blender and dry mill with a 500W motor and a 1.7 litre plastic jug, in silver and black. National ND-8850 price in Pakistan at AYS Online is Rs. 11,500, with a 1-year warranty. It handles blending and grinding, so it suits a kitchen that makes shakes daily and grinds its own masala.
Blender and dry mill together
As the title says, the ND-8850 pairs a blender with a dry mill. The 1.7 litre plastic jug is for liquids such as lassi, shakes and soups once cooled, while the dry mill is the place for spices like zeera, dhania and red chilli. Multiple speed settings and a pulse function let you control texture, from a coarse chutney to a smooth drink. Keep the dry mill for dry ingredients only.
Everyday care
A few habits help any blender last longer. Put liquids in the jar first, then softer ingredients, and keep the load below the jar’s top marking. Let hot food such as boiled daal or soup cool before blending. Run the motor in short bursts rather than one long spell, and rest it between batches. If you blend during load-shedding on a UPS or solar inverter, check that the inverter can carry the motor’s rated wattage.
