The Metro ME-960L is a 60 litre, 2000W electric geyser in white, listed as solar compatible and available at AYS Online for Rs. 31,050. It is sized for a larger family with several showers in a row in everyday household use, and it is sold with a 1-year official brand warranty.
Is 60 litres the right size?
A 60 litre tank suits a larger household where several people shower one after another in the morning, and where you would rather not wait for the tank to reheat between them. If several people need hot water at the same time, a bigger tank is worth considering.
Running the Metro ME-960L on solar or grid power
AYS lists the Metro ME-960L as solar compatible. In a home with solar panels, a 2000W electric geyser is a load best scheduled for strong daytime sun, and your inverter should have spare capacity for it. On grid power, use a properly rated socket and circuit; most home UPS units are not sized for a 2000W load during load-shedding.
