The Metro ME-940L is a 40 litre, 2000W electric geyser in white, listed as solar compatible and available at AYS Online for Rs. 25,300. It is sized for a couple or a small family sharing one bathroom in everyday household use, and it is sold with a 1-year official brand warranty.
Is 40 litres the right size?
A 40 litre tank is a practical middle size. As a rough guide it suits a couple or a small family sharing one bathroom, with showers spaced through the morning. If several people need hot water at the same time, a bigger tank is worth considering.
Running the Metro ME-940L on solar or grid power
AYS lists the Metro ME-940L as solar compatible. In a home with solar panels, a 2000W electric geyser is a load best scheduled for strong daytime sun, and your inverter should have spare capacity for it. On grid power, use a properly rated socket and circuit; most home UPS units are not sized for a 2000W load during load-shedding.
