The Dawlance 9173WB Digital Pro is a 12 cu ft inverter refrigerator with an external digital display that lets you set temperature and modes from outside the door. It adds Eco, Smart Vacation and Quick Freeze modes, a Child Lock, glass doors in Magnetic Green or Magnetic Red, and low voltage operation. It costs Rs. 97,200 at AYS Online today.
What the digital control on the 9173WB Digital Pro does
Most direct cool fridges have a dial inside the cabinet. The Digital Pro moves control to a digital display on the door, showing the temperature and mode in real time. From there you can switch between:
- Eco Mode to trim energy use during normal days.
- Smart Vacation Mode for when the family goes to the village or a wedding out of town: the freezer keeps working while the fridge section runs at minimum to save power and prevent smells.
- Quick Freeze to firm up fresh meat or set ice and desserts fast before guests arrive.
- Child Lock so little fingers cannot change the settings.
Dawlance also lists a Health Zone and a digital thermostat on this model.
SE inverter and low voltage operation
The Digital Pro runs on Dawlance’s SE inverter technology. The compressor varies its speed instead of cycling fully on and off, which lowers electricity use and holds temperature steadily. Its low voltage operation covers 160V to 270V, and it uses R600A refrigerant. That combination makes it a good match for homes running a UPS or solar system, where a gentle start-up current matters during load-shedding.
Glass doors and storage
The doors are glass, finished in Magnetic Green or Magnetic Red, and wipe clean in seconds. Inside, transparent plastic shelves keep things visible and are easy to remove for washing. Twelve cubic feet suits a medium family doing one main shop a week. Cooling is direct, so the freezer will need a manual defrost from time to time, and Dawlance lists it as a 2-in-1, energy saver model.
