Challenges to E-commerce in Pakistan — and How We Address Them

Quick Answer

Online shopping in Pakistan runs into the same problems: authenticity, payment trust, warranty uncertainty and affordability. None are solved by promising more — they're solved by being verifiable, and by explaining the terms honestly.

Quick verdict

Online shopping in Pakistan still runs into the same handful of problems: people can’t be sure a product is genuine, they don’t trust paying before it arrives, warranty claims feel uncertain, and big-ticket appliances are hard to afford outright.

None of those are solved by promising more. They’re solved by being verifiable — an actual shop you can walk into, products with manufacturer warranties, payment only on delivery if you prefer, and a way to spread the cost that’s explained honestly.

The real problems

What actually holds e-commerce back in Pakistan

Challenge Why it persists
Product authenticity Counterfeit and grey-market stock is common enough that buyers assume the risk is real — and for appliances, a fake carries no valid warranty
Payment trust Many buyers won’t pay in advance to a seller they can’t verify, which is why cash on delivery still dominates
Warranty uncertainty A warranty is only worth the network behind it. Buyers can’t easily tell whether a claim will actually be honoured
Delivery and damage Large appliances travelling long distances can arrive damaged, and buyers worry about who carries that loss
Affordability Refrigerators, ACs and washing machines are large single purchases, and many households can’t pay in full at once
Price opacity Prices move constantly, so buyers can’t tell whether today’s price is fair or inflated
After-sales support Installation and service access vary hugely outside the major cities
How we address them

What we do about each — specifically

Authenticity. We’ve traded since 1956 and operate 8 physical branches in Peshawar alongside the website. Everything we sell is 100% original with an official manufacturer warranty. A business with a physical shopfront and a long trading history has considerably more to lose from selling a counterfeit than an anonymous listing does.

Payment trust. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, so you can pay when the product is in front of you. Secure online payment is there if you prefer it, but you’re never required to pay first.

Warranty. Products carry official manufacturer warranties, serviced through the manufacturer’s own network — not an in-house promise that depends on us staying reachable.

Delivery and damage. We ship nationwide with complete transit insurance on every order, so damage in transit is our problem rather than yours. Delivery is free within Peshawar; elsewhere in Pakistan standard shipping charges apply, and we’d rather say that plainly than bury it.

Price transparency. Prices are updated daily, and every product shows visual price history with 365-day trend tracking and 30-day averages — so you can see for yourself whether today’s price is genuinely good rather than taking our word for it.

After-sales. Installation support is available on selected products, and our helpline on 0333-5652643 connects you to people who can check service coverage in your area before you buy.

Affordability

The affordability problem, honestly explained

Installments are how most households buy a major appliance, so it’s worth being precise about how ours work. We offer zero down payment EMI through Bank Alfalah, JS Bank and MCB credit and debit cards, with a fully automated checkout — you complete it online without paperwork or a branch visit. Zero down payment means exactly that: nothing to pay upfront.

But a bank markup applies. The total you repay over the plan is somewhat higher than the cash price. We say this plainly because plenty of advertising in this market implies otherwise, and a buyer who discovers the markup at the statement stage is a buyer who won’t return. If paying in full suits you better, the cash price is always the lower total.

You can buy an AC on installment, a refrigerator on installment, an LED TV on installment or a washing machine on installment, with live prices and plans shown on each product.

Common questions

Buying appliances online in Pakistan: FAQs

Is it safe to buy home appliances online in Pakistan?

It is when you can verify who you’re buying from. Look for a seller with a physical presence you could visit, products carrying official manufacturer warranties, the option to pay on delivery rather than in advance, and transparent pricing you can check over time. We’ve traded since 1956 with 8 branches in Peshawar, ship nationwide with transit insurance, and offer Cash on Delivery.

How do I know the product is original?

Buy from a seller accountable for it. Everything we sell is 100% original with an official manufacturer warranty serviced through the manufacturer’s network. A counterfeit appliance carries no valid warranty, which is usually the costliest part of the mistake rather than the price difference.

Do I have to pay before delivery?

No. Cash on Delivery is available across Pakistan, so you can pay when the product reaches you. Secure online payment and zero down payment EMI are available if you prefer them.

How does zero down payment EMI work?

You pay nothing upfront and spread the cost over monthly instalments using a Bank Alfalah, JS Bank or MCB credit or debit card, through a fully automated online checkout. A bank markup applies, so the total repaid is somewhat higher than the cash price — worth factoring in when comparing.

What happens if my appliance is damaged in transit?

Every order ships with complete transit insurance, so damage in transit is covered rather than falling on you. Inspect the product on delivery and raise any issue immediately so it can be resolved quickly.

Is delivery free?

Delivery is free within Peshawar. For the rest of Pakistan, standard shipping charges apply and are shown at checkout — we’d rather be clear about that than advertise free nationwide delivery we don’t offer.
